Mustapha's green anise was grown in the northwest of Morocco on the fertile plateau between Fes and Meknes. It has a sweet and fragrant aroma and a flavor similar to fennel but more potent with stronger notes of licorice. Along with coriander and cumin, green anise is one of the most essential spices in the Moroccan kitchen.
